The Prime Minister Narendra Modi opened the Phato Zone at Jim Corbett on December 30, 2021. It provides extra avenues for jungle exploration The entry gate is located in Mohan Nagar Maldhan and is about 26 kilometres from Ramnagar, although it is not considered to be a part of the Corbett National Park. Nevertheless, the forest area is the same, and the jungle safari has begun in this zone through this entry gate. Through this gate, which has a lot of wildlife, tourists are waiting to explore the jungle. According to the rules, 50 jeeps in the morning and 50 in the afternoon will conduct safaris for three hours. At the moment, permits are being obtained at the Phato entry gate, but they will soon be available on the government booking online portal.
