The Modesto Arch, a centennial slogan arch located at the intersection of 9th and 10th Streets, is one of the fun things to do in Modesto CA. In 1912, the Modesto Businessmen's Association built it to welcome automobile drivers. At the Arch, you will see the city's slogan, "Water, Wealth, Contentment, Health," which is brightly illuminated by over 700 incandescent light bulbs.
